It drives me absolutely crazy when I see people listing machines that are very clearly not Featherweights as such like this item. If you do, what reporting criteria do you use? I usually say "Listing practices", "Search and browse manipulation", and then "Misleading title".
Just wondering if there are others as bothered by it. :) Perhaps we can crack down on people using the almighty Featherweight name in vain, hehe! |
People on Craigs List do this too:< Buyer beware!

I normally just send them a message.

I have seen listings for anything small as Featherweight and have seen featherweight listed as small machine and toy machine, I believe a lot of this is because people just don't know what they have.
|
People aren't always aware or do their homework. I just send them a note if I know the correct model number and politely inform them the correction.
|
I kindly tell the person listing it directly first...some people are sincerely unaware of the difference...however, one lady on Craig's list took offense and reported me for sending her SPAM...oh well, now I just tell people to beware...Naomi

No, I don't report it to eBay, but I do send the seller a message telling them they don't have the correct information in their posting. I have seen that they sometimes fix it...sometimes not. Buyer beware!!!!

I think that this seller is just misinformed...they did put 99k in the description... but I do understand your frustration!
|
I've also seen Featherweights on eBay NOT listed as Featherweights so I think a lot of sellers are just clueless about their product.
