All the starving people in the world and there are those that shell out millions for cars and trivia. The thought of ownership seems to outweigh helping people.

I'd probably spend the money to purchase red shoes for boys and girls in this country who have never had a pair of new shoes. (yes there are many). It could be in "memory of the Wizard of Oz and Dorothy's ruby slippers. But, that's the Pollyanna coming out of me!

The cost of making one quilt would buy several pair of shoes for kids who didn't have any. Paying the internet bill once a month would buy a pair. Running the AC during the heat all summer would provide coats, shoes, and gloves for many kids for the winter. Charity has to have a line for each person to draw. Thank goodness everyone's line is drawn in a different place.

I think that I could fix them for about $20 with a bag of red sequins and some Gorilla glue. LOL

wow how worn out can they be the movie is probably 90 minutes long......and to waste that amount of money is crazy when we have starving children here in this great country of ours...

$300,000 would buy a lot of food for a lot of kids. A copy pair for display could be made for about $50. IMHO

Sounds 'governmental', sort of like the $6000 toilet seats and $300 hammers (not electric).

Clarice29 10-20-2016 07:51 AM

I doubt it will cost that much. I think it is just another way to get money to keep things running.

SunlitenSmiles 10-20-2016 08:12 AM

as if, there was only one pair used while filming.......LOL........there had to be at least 4......the money is for the case to preserve them....silly....
