Doctor Who - 12th doctor revealed. What do you think?
 

Peter Capaldi has been named as the 12th Doctor. Of course, I have a couple of thoughts on this. I always thought that Matt Smith was too young, and he didn't seem to know much about being the doctor. I've only seen pictures of Peter Capaldi, but he seems too old for me.

If they'd just regenerate back to David Tennant I'd be perfectly happy!!

I didn't know about Matt Smith when he first regenerated. But he's turned out to be one of my favorites. Don't know about Peter Capaldi. I don't recall seeing him in anything else but it might be he's better known in the UK. We'll just have to wait and see. I have to say I was really sad when we said goodbye to Rory and Amy.

I came to the series when Matt Smith became the Doctor, and have since become somewhat familiar with David Tennant, so I am accustomed to Doctors being young and even a little cute, so I'm thinking this new Doctor will take some getting used to, for me.

That said, this new guy seems to be very knowledgeable and excited about being the Doctor. I was very disappointed that Matt Smith threw in the towel...

I still prefer Tom Baker as the Doctor. To me he is the only one. :)

I've just begun watching and started with the first episodes. It's a hoot!

Great choice. I'm looking forward to the season.
