How funny! Love the pics of the BT's. We have our second BT right now, but she doesn't like water...esp. not a bath! LOL

All the pics are just too cute. I have never seen a dog lay in a small pool or tub before. I have to beg my dog to take a bath. She hates it. She did have fun with my GS one time in the river but that is it.

I have to quit looking at these posts with these pictures of dogs. Makes me want one!!! They are so cute. Love the Bosteon Terriers, that is what I grew up with. Thanks for posting even if it makes me long for a puppy!

Thats funny! My dog has her own swimming pool. She gets in it and lays down. We had to do away with the outdoor rock fish pond because she would get in it and come up with my fish!

My dog loves the water too. She'll chase a ball for awhile & get hot & just go plop down in her little pool. She's been doing that since she was a pup & she loves the hose too.

Honey in her pool.

I just got a Lhasa last month. He seems to love the water too. Gets his face in the bowl and then his hair is dripping wet!

I need some advice from Lhasa mommies....
This is one breed I've never owned before and this is the first male doggie this small (he is already 10 pounds at 4 months old) in my home. He is my avatar. His name is Sammy.

I have a 7 year old chihuahua totally housebroken and a 12 year old pom who goes where she damm well pleases (and there's no stopping her!). Will he hike on my furniture? Planning to get him neuterd by 6 months old but not sooner per the vet's suggestion. The house training is going well. Lots of accidents (no carpets, thank God!), but I am now more aware of his schedule and keeping the doors closed to give him less access to the rest of the house. Had a problem with the pooping but it's not a problem now. He gets one cherrio for peeing and two for pooping. The rewards are working. I usually take him outside (we live on 3 acres) and I tell him to go potty and he pees. One cherrio reward, then tell him to go poop. It takes a while, but it happens. Sometimes not. But since he seems to follow my chihuahua everywhere, I am hoping she can teach him the ropes. Afterall, she's got it down pat.

Are these dogs easy to train or are they like the toys who just can't get it straight? My dane never went in the house and he was a 200 pound male! Go figure. I just hope I am not going to regret getting a small breed and spending the next 15 years cleaning up his waste in my house!

I am planning to take him on daily walks once school starts up again (too hot right now). I look forward to that a lot. Gotta lose some weight.

Oh, can anyone suggest a good shampoo and conditioner? He's got "bounce back beautiful hair" and I am planning to keep it long. He gets brushed during the day (grandchildren do a good job) and at night before I go to bed. He lays on his back and closes his eyes. I love this bonding time.

Any suggestions? Ok, here are some pics of him. The kitty is a great toy for him!

Our bulldog has her own swimming pool that she likes to stand in outside-she pretends she is swimming by paddling one foot at a time :)

Aw, cute pictures! LOL, you neverthink of little Bostons as being water dogs, wonder if they'd like the lake? We have a lab and retriever, and when my pug was alive, she SOOO badly wanted to swim with them, but she'd sink. We got her a doggy life jacket, and she LOVED it. It was so cute seeing her in a huge orange LJ, swimming with the "BIG DOGS!"

Dogs are so funny to watch and the stories they create for us to share makes me smile. Thank you everyone for sharing yours with me! And the pictures too!

Bubblegum I have never had a Lhasa so I am not sure but hopefully someone can help you out.

My female boston Lexie loves the river, lake, pool it doesn't matter. Though I have never seen her curl up in to the water bowl! She is the size of a small bulldog though lol I think she has more of the french bulldog line in her bloods than the rest of what bostons were originally bred from!

Hugs
April
