Does anyone have an update on Eleanor Burns?

She was supposed to have surgery back in Sept. and it is now the middle of Oct. and have not seen anything regarding her condition.

RFD-TV is showing new shows on Thursday at 4PM CST. I was in a panic when I saw her old shows that had been rerun to death were no longer being shown. I became used to seeing them over and over and over.

I saw a picture off her on FB with a granddaughter...was doing well.

It takes time to heal from the surgery she had. Yes, I can watch her shows over and over again too.

At today's guild meeting, her sister Pat Knoechel was our speaker and she reported that Eleanor did indeed have a triple bypass surgery, and is recovering nicely.Eleanor is writing a new book which will come out next year (El's Attic) which will feature newer faster ways of making antique looking blocks. Pat is one of my favorite speakers and we consider her an "honorary member" of our guild. She has been staying with Eleanor during recovery and just today is back on her own speaking tour. She said Eleanor is as feisty as ever, but it will be awhile before she is completely recovered. We are all happy for the success.

thank you for the update, and for taking the time to let us know.

Thank for the update! I will look forward to her new book. I learn so much when I watch her shows. She had taught me a lot. My girlfriend can't believe I do Eleanor's method and cut my things a little larger and trim them down to the correct measurement. I tell her, it works for me.

Oh, what a time to be living. With all of the newer ways to take care of ourselves. So glad for Eleanor Burns.

Thanks for the good news from her sister and I like the term "shero" fits her perfectly. She has been my favorite for a long time.

thank you for the in-depth update. EB has done so much for the current world of quilting. she bases many of her quilt patterns on antique quilts from her personal collection. i admire her for that. Amazing woman!!!

I like the term shero used in connection with Eleanor Burns. She certainly is a shero for all of us to emulate.

I do the same. I have problems with doing the "scant" quarter so the extra helps me to get more accurate blocks.

It's good to hear that EB is doing well.
