I was just wondering if anyone here has the nook? So we might share books from time to time.

What is the nook?? :) I love books but don't know what you mean :D

The nook is a barnes and noble e-reader. Unlike the Kindle you can share books (if they allow) with other nook readers.

can you put full-view books from a google search on it?

I just ordered the Nook today. BN has them on sale for $149. I'm excited to get it.

Youcan pretty much put any book on it if the publisher allows e-books. I like for the boat, or when out of town because you can carry a ton of books in one simple book.

I think you'll love it. I know i do I have read more books now since I've got it in March, and just bought 1 book because I loved the first one.

Yes I have checked into that, but haven't needed to go there yet as I have mainly downloaded free books. I think once a week they post a new book or two to read.

Are the books that you download for free older books or do they have more recent titles?

craftybear 06-25-2010 01:28 AM

I LOVE my nook so far.
Her name is Trillian.
I am probably going to buy few books, but use it for the library and for collecting free books from Project Gutenberg.
Also, on Fridays BN puts up a free book!

All my kids and grands have the Nook or the Kindle. With Nook you can put one book on another Nook. My niece uses the Nook to download college text books. Much cheaper and no big books to lug to classes. I think every school should have e book readers instead of text books. The books won't have to be stored, the cost is 1/4 of what a text book cost, the books can be updated instantly and the kids won't have to tote books back and forth. The schools would save a fortune.

Alias, I just noticed your picture of the Nook cover. That is so neat, thanks for posting! I made a case/bag for mine. I like holding the Nook without a cover. But I wanted a bag to put it in so that I don't scratch the screen. I'll just drop the bag into my purse....I am loving it, too. I find myself doing so much more reading now.
