Does anyone make those things you put on the bottom of thread spool for your machine?
I don't know the name of them but they're so cute and I don't crochet.
I would love to buy a few. This is not asking for a gift but a purchase ! :) I looked on Etsy but I can't find any. TIA Susie |
Spoolies are a great place to start to learn to crochet. See if there is a pattern on YouTube and give it a go.

A year or so ago, someone nice lady on this board had made them and offered them to us and she had done them in colors--they are so nice. Of course, I can not remember name. If I remembe, I'll post it.

There is another thread on this under Links and Resources section right now.

I think it was a dollar store that I purchased a few of the mass produced small crochet doilies and I use them as they are so cute. Good luck finding them, if I ever see them when I am out and about I will post where I saw them, it has been many years so I don't really remember but I do find many unique items at the dollar stores.

I use felt circles on the bottom of spools to control their spin.

I make them from embroidery floss, so easy and fun. Send me a PM with favorite color(s) and your address. {{Hugs}} Ann |
By the way, I call them thread spool doilies because I use a small steel crochet hook to make them like I would for a doily.
