Yup.. I'm a good mom.. Took the guy to the vet.. He has a bilateral otitis media.. and I had to leave him there so they can clean them out, and have his teeth cleaned... My brother will pick him up tomorrow.. At first the vet thought he didn't want me to sew.. but when I explained that he might be hearing something that I wasn't, he thought twice.. He needed his vaccines anyway.. Now I feel guilty as crap.. I'm heading to LA for ten days.. Just think.. He could've been suffering for nothing.. If he still has a fit while I'm sewing, he's going to get drop kicked... big time

Socrates has had multiple ear infections throughout his seven years.. He has allergies, and asthma.. Now that I think of it.. He's a pain in the behind.. but a really good guy.. and I love him to pieces.. I got to talk to him while I'm away, and he is in the best of hands.. My mom is cuddling him.. He might get drop kicked when I get back if he continues fighting my sewing..
As for Cesar Milan..I disagree 100% with his methods.. Barri.. |

Lol the vacuum stories make me chuckle. My 100 pound black lab, Zeus, LOVES the vacuum. When I turn it on he comes over and insists that I vacuum him.

If he still reacts when his ears get cleared up you might try one of those new vest like things that make dogs feel secured when they are scared. They use it when dogs don't like loud noises like thunder or household noises. Haven't tried it but have heard good things about it. Wish it had been invented years ago. Our baby loved to be vacuumed but tore the screed door off if she was outside when it thundered.

And Barri 1... |
We have the Thunder shirt. I bought it when it first came out, as my guy is a chicken, and afraid of thunder.. and terryfied about being left alone (spoiled).. It didn't work.. He shakes like a leaf.. I do okay with knocking him out with Benadryl.. I'm not concerned about him fighting the vacuum, as I use a canister that doesn't have brushes.. I also can send him out of the room.. He listens.. but creeps back in with a sad look on him face.. He behaves after..
