Dumb Questions

Actually, there are such things as dumb questions.

Examples:

DH asked me: "Why did you drop that gallon of milk on the floor?"
Answer: I wanted to see what a big puddle it would take and how long it would take to clean up.

"When are you going to do the laundry?"
Answer: When I'M the one of clean underwear.

"Are you watching the show that you are looking at (as he changes the channel)?"
The words used in the answer are not allowed on this board.

LOL!!! Yep, those are dumb questions. That last one is just plain asking for it.

All I can say is anyone who says there are no dumb questions has never worked in any kind of customer service. When I told a customer it would be eight to fifteen days before he got his tax refund he asked "so how long is that?" A lot of the questions people think of as dumb are mostly "I'm too lazy to look this up myself" type questions.

Lol you get a LOT of those when you work with kids. Years ago I was a Girl Scout camp counselor, and these kinds of questions used to drive me and my co-counselor NUTS! To cope, we got silly and made a game out of it. For example, a camper once came up to us with a piece of garbage and asked us what she should do with it. Instead of sighing and telling her to put it in the trash bin, we gave her the silliest, most ridiculous answers, such as "put it in your sleeping bag" and "tie a string around it, name it, and walk it all over camp, telling everyone it's your new pet". This ended up being one of the funnest things we did with our campers that year.... it became quite the game to play and EVERYONE competed to come up with the best answers.

Oh yeah....you should try being a doctor, especially in today's computer records age. There arent stupid questions but there are stupid answers.

How long have you had this problem? Awhile. (That's not a choice.) What brings you in to see me today? A car. (Really???) Did you have an accident? No, well except when I totalled my car a few months ago. That was just today.

Too funny!!

I work for one of the major pizza delivery companies. They ask "What time do you close?" Dumb question: "What time do you stop delivering?" Answer "When we close."

Another person asks "Do you deliver?" right after I asked them "Will this be for pickup or delivery?"

If you work in customer service you know there are dumb questions!

Oh my gosh. I find it hard to imagine being that 'dumb.' A couple weeks ago when I had come back from mass (which I try to go to every sat night as my other half knows full well) I got out of my car with the church flyer in my hand, he looks at me and says "Where you been? " Really? I had to laugh and then just walk away. lol
