thanks! I have some flannel left over from a backing. I don't usually piece with it and this is my husband's favorite duster tool (not that he uses it often...)

I have mislaid my duster handle before and substituted two fat pencils. Chopsticks will work in a pinch, but are a bit thin. I guess you could wrap the chopsticks to make them fit better.

What a great idea! Wonder if it would make a difference if you cut the initial pieces with a pinking blade?

I would think that might eliminate some of the raveling and should not interfere with the "dusting power"...... Good idea!

They DO WORK!! My girlfriend made me one and I still use it.

Had plenty of flannel left over so I made a bright green one yesterday. Works great and it's in the laundry now. Needed to dust anyway.lol

Thanks for sharing, great idea! You can also make the dry cloth for swiffer sweeper with terry cloth and elastic or a drawstring, then just toss into the wash!

Thanks for sharing. I may have to make one.

Love this idea!

I would bend a metal coat hanger to simulate the duster and use a tie to attach it or even a snap. Will have to think on this one.

Maybe mine is sewn too wide but I had trouble keeping mine on the handle, not just while I was shaking it out.
