I received an email from Ebay . it was about a "new unpaid item"and Robert Phillips (sweetvacations-2005).
I have never sold on Ebay and have never bought from sweetvactions-2005. The only thing in common is that my last name is Phillips. I have been fighting for the last hour trying to contact Ebay about this but without luck. Can you contact them directly? All I can find is automatic questions and answers that don't quite fit this problem. The only things that I have ever purchased on Ebay are fat quarters and other quilting items. Any ideas how i can resolve this? |
contact the seller and tell there was a mix up

is it showing up on your My Ebay page, when you log in? If not, this sounds like a spam email, trying to bilk you for some money.

Ignore it. Delete it. It's some kind of scam.

That's what I would do too,

Got to www.ebay.com and click on "community", top right, and do a search on "sweetvacations-2005"
I had to enter a security number so I don't know if you will be able to view this, but these are the details I found: http://myworld.ebay.com/sweetvacations-2005 Once you have signed into your ebay you will be able to contact him direct, hope this helps. |
Oops double post, my first one

When you responded to the email did you log in through a link in the email? if you did you might be in trouble. They now have your ebay login information and possibly Paypal. I would change your stuff ASAP.
if you opened a new window and then went to ebay then you should be ok. With regard to your original question, I think everybody above my post answered it. Just never click on a link inside an email asking you to login into any account. EVER! |
it is a scam delete it
