Part of tv comedy history has passed.

That was like a staple at our house. Didn't matter where we were or how sick we were, we watched that show.

So sorry to see her pass. Didn't realize she was in her 80's. Still pretty

katesnanna 01-03-2015 07:02 AM

Sad news but I didn't know she was that old. RIP Donna.

Woodster 01-03-2015 02:07 PM

We loved the show, too. I find it sad, however, that she didn't grow old gracefully, and chose to live in her past "celebrity". If she was happy, I guess it doesn't matter.

Little Jimmy Dickens passed too.

Also the fine actor Edward Herrmann. That makes three.

loved her. she was always a bright spot of sunshine. we'll miss her.

I heard Little Jimmy Dickens died.
I did not hear about Elly May = Donna Douglas had died. She was here in Desoto, MO a few years ago, dressed as Elly May. People would recognize her dressed as Elly May instead of herself.

One of my favorite episodes of the Twilight Zone was the lady under the bandages. Goodbye Elly May.

MarleneC 01-04-2015 04:00 PM

I was so sorry to hear this news--never imagined she was older than I am. RIP.
