I just watched the Peter Walsh show, I to was disapointed that this was not the show I was looking forward to, but it was a good show, I am going to look to see if there is a website to check it out, we quilters always want to see what everyone else has

Someone on another thread looked it up and today was Episode 3. The one with the quilter is Episode 6.

Those shows like Enough Already and Hoarders scare the ... out of me! I start looking around my house to see what I can get rid of (except my quilt stash--tee hee)! The shows are great motivators for me 'cause I'd hate to die and my poor children have to clean out a bunch of stuff including rat poop and they make a TV show out of my life!!! Amazing how we live as though s/he with the most STUFF wins!

Hmmmmmmmm, 2000 lbs of fabric. That is a ton. I think I may have that much on one shelf. hope they don't think I'm hoarding. I do need to post some pieces for sale, I have bolts that I will never use up, so watch for an ad hopefully soon. I want to save up for the Road to California next year

Did she have sewing machines (as in plural????) When I get to talking about a favorite sewing machine to friends or family my hubby then says "Just ask her how many she has!!!" I don't want to be a hoarder. What I do want is to have some nice vintage machines that hum when I ask them to and sit prettily to the side when I want them to do that. That's not hoarding. I don't have that much stash either.
OWN is not in our package on Dish Network, so we can't watch the show, but do watch Hoarders when it's on.

Hush, just do not let your family hear about this show. LOL

There are enough comments anyway (that I receive) and I am pretty good. Who wants or needs an intervention?

Just knew there was a reason not to have cable t.v. in the household

[quote=Nanamoms]Maybe the producers decided that couldn't actually help with that much clutter (uh, quilt stash).
All they would have to do is post to this Board and the stash would be gone in a day.

I watched it for about 15 minutes - saw it was way too much criticizing her housekeeping - it deffinitely need to be cleaned up- straightened up - but this guy was going in to throw it all out! It had to go, was his words; No one would come into my home and say it had to be thrown out - regardless of what kind of mess it was; it was a disaster for sure, but it looked like too much of a fake disaster; sort of like they needed to get their point across that things were never put away - and it was not stacks of things, but things here and there that had no rhyme or reason to it - yes, the lady needed to get it cleaned up so her new baby granddaughter could some to see her - her daughter refused to bring the baby over to "see grandpa and grandma under these conditions; rightfully so; but I still would not allow anyone to come in and throw it all out.

She was gone from like 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. or somethign like that - no time in a day to put anything away - but if she'd just get some totes, and start on one side of the room, and go through everything piece by piece, she could clean it up.

Even her husband was mad cause it was so cluttered; I just hated the guy who was there to clean it up! Anyone can throw things away - I shut it off... and quit recording it as well. He ws not coming up with any suggestions to preserve anything she had - just the fact "It Had To Go!"

At least that is as much as I heard of it - did not like the show whatsoever.

I watched it also and was very disappointed. I watch Horders from time to time, but when you are expecting a show about one thing, and you get another. Yes very disappointed. I actually like the old Discovery channel. I watched it a lot, but I don't watch OWN as much now.
