"Police" has gotten such a bad rap lately - There are those that uphold the position and duties in the highest way -

In 2001, an ethical oath for Police Officers upon graduating from Police Academy was started.

Another oath:

They are worth reading.

Is that for just MN or all over?

As far as I could tell, all over.

It's not for when they are hired, it's at graduation.

I added another one that I found.

May all those that adhere to these oaths be commended for they put their lives and the quality of their families lives on the line every day.
We can only hope that the ones that don't be found out quickly and dismissed bc they take much away from us as a society and just as much from those that do.
We have an officer in our church and he is a good, good man, a fine officer, family guy and a friend now.
I applaud people like that that serve and try to do my best to support those

Thanks for sharing. Most police officers are good people doing a tough job. A few give many a bad name. So sad.
