Ever gone to a new town you've never been in before and suddenly you know what is around the corner and can tell folks what stood in that parking lot many years ago? And old timers there could agree that it was there but burned down before you were born?

It's enough to make the hair on the back of your head stand up!

Hi Ramona! Not that vividly but I have those times when it feels like I did the same thing or the same situation comes up. Hard to explain :D

Some days I can't tell if I said it, lived it, dreamt it, or saw it on TV ;-)

Deja vu has been a common experience for me since a very young age.

Yes I have! and when my son was about three he talked about a war and crawling on his belly under picky fences! I often wonder if he was reincarnated from Civil war times or something! It was nothing he saw on Television as all that he watched was Mr. Rodgers and Sesame street.

Okay, you guys have definitely given me the creeps. I sometimes feel the same as Susan Margaret, but nothing like what you are talking about.

When we lived in Germany many years ago, we visited this old monastery that had been converted into an outdoor cafe and garden. Behind the garden was an old cemetery. I put on foot in there and knew I had been there before. I had never been to Germany before, nor had any of my family.

Been there, done that, can't explain that!

Lots...and I sometimes know what the next thing said is going to be during a conversation...

MissM 01-14-2011 11:18 PM

Yes I have had several experiences of having gone to a new place, but had the feeling I had been there before, or been in a conversation with someone and suddenly realized, that I had already had that conversation before.

But I have also had a close encounter, and I have also been visited on several occasion by an occupant in a old farmhouse that I once lived in.
