Eye patches
Well I need some advice. I recently had surg on my eye and need to keep 1 of my eyes patched to avoid the mother of all headaches. I've been wearing disposable adhesive bandage like things. Needless to say- they are very uncomfortable and when I tear the thing off, part of my skin is going with it! I'd like to make a fabric one just for fun and comfort. Does anyone have a pattern suggestion?

Find a circle that's around 2 - 2.5 inches....maybe a skinny glass or something else for a pattern. I'd do a couple in various patterns and make a skinny tubing of fabric (or ribbon) on each side for tying, or with Velcro on each end to attach to your head. I hope you recover quickly and all goes well with the healing process!

If you have access to a medical supply store, they do sell them and they are not very much money. I would buy one and use it for a pattern and make up several in snazzy quilting cotton.

I would make one myself.

You might also look in the Halloween costume section of your local Walmart or $ store for the pirate costume ones.
When I had an eye infection years ago I used one of those with a cotton ball under it to help keep my eyelid shut. It worked great. |

My daughter wore one for several years. I bought a couple at Walmart and cross stitched a rose for each patch & then one sewed it onto each eye patch. It made it look cuter and her happier about having to ear one.

it's Halloween, celebrate with a pirate one
