My Grandpa had it done. His eyes looked red and irritated for a day or so, but he didn't complain of much pain. It really helped him be able to see. One of his lids just didn't stay up anymore.

I did years ago and it was a breeze. Only slight pain and it healed very quickly.

Yes, for some people anyway. My mother had to have it done and the results didn't last very long in her case.

Wish I could figure out a way to have it done and insurance pay. They say they aren't bad enough yet! One hangs/drags across one eye pretty bad, or I think so, the other is ok but if you do one, you need to do both I feel like anyway. Keep us up to date.

Yes, I had eyelid surgery several years ago, in my early 50's, because I had dropping eyelids and my eyes were constantly tired. My insurance wouldn't cover it, it was considered "cosmetic". I didn't care, I just wanted some relief.

My opthamologist did it and she did a fabulous job. It was very easy surgery, outpatient, very little pain, I stayed home only one day and really didn't need to. When I went to work everyone thought the stitches were black eyeliner.

I thought it was a breeze and I'm soooooo glad I did it!

My daughter convinced me to put this on hold til I see someone who is board certified and will show me their work before and after pics and give me names and phone numbers of references. so.........it's all on hold for now. Thank you everyone , I do intend to find a board cert. surgeon will let you all know.
