Tokyo has a fabric distrcit, Nippori. One store after the other full with fabric!!! The biggest one is called Tomato, five levels. The only drawback is that it's expensive. And with the dollar-yen rate so low, it can break the bank.

How do you like driving on the Ginza? Used to scare me to drive in Tokyo. I love the pachinko shops too and all the osembe stores. OMG you are making me homesick to visit my family. Thanks for sharing.

We did all the exploring of Tokyo by train. We came down here for our anniversary from Misawa. Even though I am from a big town, Berlin, Germany, I would rather not drive in Tokyo. The subway and train system are great and very easy to handle.
Are you from Tokyo?

Sounds like fun even if you can't buy much fabric. Are you seeing a lot of different fabric designs? Maybe some we're not so familiar with? Hopefully you can get a couple of pieces to remind you of your trip.

Show us some fabric! This is just tantalising.
