Fabric Paint Question

About 20 years ago when she was in jr. high,, my daughter painted a picture on fabric with fabric paint. No medium was used. Can I go over the picture at this point with medium
to make the old paint permanent? I need help, please!

I have yet to get paint out of any fabric, water based included :)
You could put a piece of fabric over it and heat set with a hot iron.

I saw a show on The Quilt Show about a lady famous for her painted fabric, she uses the $2.00 craft paint watered down by half. I've got a few pieces in quilts and it has never faded.

Thanks. I forgot all about heat setting!

Thanks also for the tip about the paint!

Seems like after 20 years the paint is pretty much permanent.
