I have not had any problems with pop ups since I changed my anti-spy ware to AVG.
It sounds as if you comp. has an aweful lot of tracking cookies on it. When was the last time you ran your anti-spy ware and mal-ware? These should clean them off the comp.

I keep it really cleaned. No problems other than facebook...

I'm wonder if your Facebook settings need to be changed or if you can change them. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you. Sorry!

I don't know if this will work, but make sure you log out of your facebook account when you go to another site. In addition to the advice that's already been given, that's what I would try.

Norton scans three or four times when I am on line and watches for the cookies and removes them You can also go in and raise your spam blocker so it blocks more things

You didn't say where you are seeing these ads or what kind of email service you have.

If you have a free email address such as yahoo or gmail or hotmail, you need to accept (and ignore) the ads that come with it. Alternatively you could use a paid email service.

I do Facebook once in a while but have never had trouble with pop ups. I have liked several yarn and fabric companies without any problems.
