Fabulous pictures and first time I have seen or heard of anyone being able to hold one in their hands. What a treat!

I lve my hummers also and have not seen any for a couple days. But my sister who lives about 15 miles south has seen hers still.
I will miss them too. I had one caught in my screened in porch and was able to get him on my hand too by he time my husb got the camera he flew away. I was bummed.

I guess they came down here, I have at least 20-25 hummers feeding now....6 feeders out, filling up every other day. I just love them and they just fuss around the feeders..so cute

Never even heard of hummingbirds being so trusting!! You must be special!

We used to live in the mountains near Yosemite. We had a single plastic flowered hummingbird feeder. When ever it got low the birds would fly around my husband, almost hitting him. Once I witnessed this when he was headed out to the barn and he just turned around and took down the feeder and refilled it. He said, "When they start doing that I can't get anything done until I take care of them!"

They were a lot more fun than the bear that tried to get to it. DH raised the feed higher into a tree after that!

I can't wait til our addition is done and I can put out the hummingbird feeder.

Amazing. My cousin in Colorado actually has a lot of them and they, too, will land on your hand.

When I lived in Oregon we had one little rufus hummer that always came to say goodbye and then in the spring always let us know he/she was back. Amazing little birds!
