Technology these days is progressing so fast that Janebo is really finding it hard to grasp it all. I have tried to download a photo of myself and it hasn't happened plus also a photo of one of my sampler wall hangings. Living out in a remote farming area in Western Australia and quite a distance from the nearest big town... to learn more on computers is a mission and a half. Any suggestions to help me.

Welcome from Kentucky! I wish I could help you with technology!

Welcome from Idaho! Wish I cold help, but without knowing the problem I am lost!

Put it in quilting perspective...it takes practice. The more you do it, the easier it will become. And you'll never know it all. What fun would that be? Always keep learning.

First, find where you store your pictures on your computer. When you go to loading them onto here, you will need to be able to locate them.

Click on new topic, then after filling in the title and description, click on the browse button. this will let you choose where to go in your computer to get the picture(s) you want to show here. Click where your pictures are stored, and then click on the picture you wish to have here. then click on ok.

DO NOT CLICK ON PREVIEW this will delete your pictures. This feature is for text only

Repeat this for each picture you want to include in your post. :D:D:D

hi from alaska! i open the help buttons and read everything. i google and read what i find. i give most things a try and it usually turns out o.k. i've lost a whole file of pictures several times, but the hardest thing i've tried to master is facebook. but i'm doing better now!
practice, practice, practice!
if it's something new to do, i leave the instructions in the tray so i can refer to them as needed.

Gee thanks for that and I'll give it a go. Being computer illiterate is a big bug to bear... that's why technology and the new way of life is hard for me sometimes but I'll get there.

CarrieAnne 11-04-2010 08:14 PM

Just keep practicing! I am the same way! When I post a picture, I still have to have someone help me....

Once you get the hang of it you'll be posting pics like an expert. If you get really stuck PM one of us and we'll be happy to help.

I'm in the Darling Ranges....I feel for you country folk...this lack of rain and odd spring weather has me thinking it's going to be a long, dry summer. I only have half an acre of garden to worry about and I'm concerned. Those on an acreage, my heart goes out to you.

janebo 11-05-2010 07:48 AM

I'm in the Great Southern wheat-belt of Western Australia on a cropping and sheep farm. I also have the same feeling regarding the lack of rain and yes....especially the spring weather this year, very odd. I reckon also we are heading for a long, hot summer. We grow our own veggies and have free range chooks for eggs.... starting now to mulch all the growing beds plus erect structures to attach shade cloth to hopefully help against the scorching sun. Also thickening the walls of the chook house with bales of straw plus sprinklers on the chook house roof.
Thanks for your feelings towards us country folks and I will PM one of you for help if I need it.
