. The last few years I have gone to Antique Alley in Cleburne Tx and it has been a blast![/quote]
-----------------------------
I'll have to go visit my DD in Cleburne, she has mentioned a flea market several times.
Here we have one in town every Sat, next town about 7 miles away, but in latter years they have become almost totally commercial with cheap stuff from China. We finally stopped going to them.
In San Jose, about 150 miles or so away, there is a monster one that has it's own police to direct traffic. I love going there!! Huge parking lot, masses of strange things and lovely stuff, and I always take my fold up cart with a duffle bag inside to keep the little stuff in. Too big to carry around things all day.

Hey, where in Texas are you? I have been to Canton several times. I live between Bonham and Sherman in a tiny town called Savoy. Just curious since you mentioned Canton. Jackie Davis

we used to go to the one in Springfield Ohio but it too has shrunk and the merchandise has changed but the last time we went I found many antique quilts going for just $20-30.
