Does anyone have directions on how to make the knotted, not braided fleece dog tugs. I saw one on Etsy and I just love it, but that person doesn't seem to be willing to share how they made it. It looks like a four strand braid but it says it is knotted not braided. I make the braided ones for the dogs in my family (there's a lot between all of us) and these looked to be much sturdier. I thought maybe it was kumihimo but she said it was not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would love to see the photo of the one for sale. Maybe we could figure it out then. I looked on etsy, but I am not sure which one you are talking about.

My dogs have them. I'll have to dig them out and see if they are knotted or braided.

These look like the old patterns for macrame knots. I am not sure if I have any directions anymore, but I will check. I wonder if anyone has any of these books laying around.

Fleece? Depending on the size, strength and training of the dog, I'd suggest small gage nylon rope. But then I used to take in (and kept) rescue Dobermans, and some of them were powerful and needed this till trained.
