I have never seen this before...interesting but looks uncomfortable to me....I made an apron in Home Ec in the fifties and we just used regular straps...lol

Try ordering a Home Sew catalog; I think they sell them there as they sell boning in the catalog.

Wow! Our first "home ec" apron was where we learned to apply a waistband. I doubt that the Curvet would fit around my "waistline" now.

My first Home Ec project in 7th grade! Given to my Mom as a Christmas present. Then we made a simple cotton housecoat--which I got a low grade on cause I made it using methods I'd been taught by Mom and the Home Ec teacher didn't like that!

I remember the first apron we made. We had to hand-baste those 1/4 inch hems on the ties. I wonder what happened to it.

Then we made the gathered skirts. I think some of us even wore them!
