There are two horses on cam now and neither one is Patches.
(not Flirt or Rumor, either)

zyxquilts 06-04-2009 07:22 AM

I keep telling you, Patches is going to go for MY PICKED TIME!!! lol

And if for some strange reason she doesn't, then she'll pass everyone's time & I vote for Kay to pick a name out of a hat. No re-guessing!

But don't worry Kay, my birthday & my pick for the foal is Sunday, before 1:04am. That's no TOO much longer for you to wait! :D:D:D

sandpat 06-04-2009 07:23 AM

Boy, there are 2 of them on there now...or am I completely loosing my mind??? Thats always a possibility you know. It appears that neither of the 2 on cam is preggie...so maybe I'm just seeing things...or did Patches foal and just have a REALLY BIG FOAL????

Just kidding - there ARE two horses there - din't want you thinking you'd gone crazy!

kaykay 06-04-2009 07:57 AM

sorry ladies! These are 2 yearling show fillies that I am training to show. As you can see on cam they are very skittish as they have not been handled by humans much. I had to use this stall as Im out!! After they settle I will be taking them out one by one and working with them. :)

you just never know around here what you will see LOL

Patches is out in the pasture happily eating because thats pretty much all she does 24/7

k3n 06-04-2009 08:49 AM

Well hopefully those two will fill the stall with 'filly vibes'! LOL

the one who guesses closest without going over is the winner. pay up. or else.
and make room for your share.

This is what was said......

It's who ever is closest WITHOUT going over the time.

So say you had the right date, but the foal came at 1:01 am and you had 1:00 am....you would lose.
It would go to the person who had the next guess.

So, if ALL the times/dates pass and she hasn't foaled, NO ONE would actually win! Read the underlined portion.
I wasn't sure everyone was understanding what I was saying/meaning,,,,that is why the UNDERLINED part is in there.

We will figure out WHAT to do IF she goes AFTER all the dates/times posted.

if she foals after the last guess, then the person who guessed closest without going over wins. say, terri guessed 12:00 noon on the 9th. and that was the final guess. she foals at 12:15 or 6:30 pm, but terri still wins because she guessed closest without going over. see?

BW - I thought we meant that when your time is passed you're out. So if you had 1am and she foaled at 1.05am - even if the next person's guess was a day later, that person would win? Otherwise, I didn't win the Flirt poll, beachlady did!

K x

butterflywing 06-04-2009 10:39 AM

terri and k, listen up

nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh to k

this is what it sounds like to me. she foals. before my guess. i'm out, because she didn't make it all the way to my guess. got that?

the person who guessed closest before the foaling, whether it's 2 minutes or 3 hours, wins. because they didn't go over. get it?

in my dh office it was done that way. of course, what do they know? but i think that's the way it's supposed to work. sorry k (tee hee)

if you had 1.00 and she foaled at 1.05 and there was no one in between, YOU WIN. YAY YAY YAY !!!

if your time has passed and she hasn't foaled and someone else's time has come up, closer than yours, and she still hasn't foaled, and someone else's.....etc. it goes on and on. BUT,

if your has passed and she HAS foaled and no one guessed in between, then no one was closer than you WITHOUT GOING OVER.

AND YOU WIN THE BRAND NEW PONTIAC AND THE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR SEWING ROOM AND ALL THE FATS!!!

amma 06-04-2009 12:36 PM

Those fillys sure are skittish   I was getting a big kick out of all of you in the stall with them    Much better that they are mini's instead of full size, was what kept going around in my head as I was watching

kaykay 06-04-2009 01:20 PM

LOL these girls have been running on approx 100 acres for their 1st year of life so yep they are really skittish! These 2 are shetland ponies. They did really well today and now we will keep them seperated as they tend to get each other going.

Joanne did very well on her lessons today but umm Kc not so much LOL. (kc is the bigger one that is still on cam) Her flight instinct is so dang high!

sharon b 06-04-2009 01:23 PM

BW- let me see if I can explain it to "our" rules....
Terri has june 1st 10 am
Sharon has June 1st at 3pm
Martha has June 1st at 5pm

the pony has the foal at 3:10pm Martha wins.... Terri was out as her time has passed. Sharon is out as her time has passed. Once your time has come and gone and no pony, you are out. In this we are not going for the closest. Understand better ?
Sharon

butterflywing 06-04-2009 01:33 PM

okey dokey.

i thought the part 'without going over' was important. i guess not.

ladymare 06-04-2009 01:34 PM

I have a mare in foal with a mule colt....when I got her she was suppose to have it in May...but not yet...She could drop from now to some time the first of July...she just was not bred when they thought.

ladymare 06-04-2009 01:36 PM

watching an waiting is the fun part!

amma 06-04-2009 01:57 PM

Yes it is ladymare :D :D :D

Kay, I am a little surprised that they were not giving you problems that what they did, then. A whole year pastured without human interaction??? I would have thought they would even have been more skitish!!!

Soooo how's Patches????? You know how Terri loves your descriptions of their under the tail parts....and don't forget how much she LOVES those pictures, too

kaykay 06-04-2009 03:34 PM

Im thinking Terri needs some new vulva pictures since she likes those so much LOL

Sighs nothing new tonight so I dont think we will see action tonight either. Her bag is just too small. This mare is trying to push me to my limit. I was hoping she would foal so I could show this weekend but noooooooooooo.

I think the 2 fillies are doing great for never being handled. I worked with Joanne a little more just now and shes really coming around. KC has a very high flight instinct so she will take a little longer. Most of the older generation pony breeders just do not handle them period. If they dont sell them they just stay out to pasture until they are old enough to breed.

sandpat 06-04-2009 03:47 PM

Kay..yes...I'm thinking that you need to update Terri's photo album!

Your yearlings are really pretty even if they are a little flighty. They will calm down..wouldn't you be a little nervous if you hadn't been handled since you were weaned? What type of classes are you training them for? Do you do the driving or is it mostly halter type classes for the mini's and shetlands? I don't know much about it..I showed Hunter/Jumper, then got into AQHA Pleasure then jumped ship and landed all the way into the Racking and Walking horses....so minis and the ponies are really foreign to me.

tlrnhi 06-04-2009 04:03 PM

NO!, I DO NOT NEED ANY VULVA PICTURES, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!

And Kay and Patti! I have your addresses....beware! lol

Tink's Mom 06-04-2009 05:15 PM

 Terri, I thought that you and Patches had a chat and she told you when she was going to foal!!!

sharon b 06-04-2009 05:59 PM

Kay, how is she doing ? i saw you out tinkering with her...LOL... she was thinking aw come on mom PLEASE leave me alone

I believe!!!!

kaykay 06-04-2009 06:10 PM

Bag is a bit tighter but even though I gave her wonderful scratches she would not let me get a milk sample. Dang mare.

I told the baby it was okay to be born now and wed have a birthday party for HER. LOL

We show in halter, jumping, obstacle, liberty etc. We used to do some driving but I sold my cart last year. To show in Driving costs quite a bit more money and we normally show young horses we have bred so they cant drive yet. I was teaching the yearling fillies how to lead, whoa, let me touch their legs and tummies, grooming and a little bit on how to set themselves up for halter class.

We have a show June 13th and I was hoping to take KC but I could see today she wont be ready. So I will be taking Joanne instead along with Promise and Dale

amma 06-04-2009 07:50 PM

Kay, please post pictures of that show, would love to see Dale and Promise again and Joanne too ofcourse!!! :D :D :D

Kay, I think that most of us feel the same way, me especially! He is such a cutie, and it was so much fun watching him first wobble, then lurch, then gallop around poor Flirt. I'm sure that there were times she just wanted to smack him like a fly! I really miss watching him on cam. Give him a big kiss on the nose for me!

kaykay 06-05-2009 03:24 AM

Silly mare. Her bag is just so small compared to 2 weeks ago. I think I am going to call my neighbor and have him take a look and see what he thinks. Im just concerned she will foal with no milk and that would be a disaster

tlrnhi 06-05-2009 03:29 AM

Maybe she's just fat and not pregnant? lol

kaykay 06-05-2009 03:33 AM

okay terri you are walking on dangerous ground LOL

You know with my dang luck she will go overdue because Im so anxious to see this foal.

Shes definitely dropped but wish that bag would get big!

LOL Sowwy.........Glad there is a HUGE pond between us or you might come hurt me, huh? lmao

She's going to take her time, you know that. You kept taking her out of the stall, she didn't like it, so now you are "paying" for it. lol

Ninnie 06-05-2009 04:40 AM

Good Patches, Good Patches!

Awwww Kay...now you know that these large animals are just kinda' quirly sometimes. Now I wanna know what neighbor thinks. I doubt she would foal with NO milk...surely she is just keeping more of it "up top" than letting it drop down into her bag. You do know about bottle feeding though (just in case) though. I can tell you that you can still have a very healthy baby even if SHE had to go on the bottle for a little bit. IT"LL BE OK.....stop worrying SOOO much Mama!!!
