Is it just me or does sucking down a glass (OK, two) of wine, having the house to yourself because your DH and DS left for a football game, and reading and looking at QB picture posts totally relieve your stress from a crap day at work? Throw in a few dark chocolate kisses and my day is slowly turning into a success.

If that makes your day a success, right now I'm a millionare!

Well, I almost agree!!! I can't drink wine at all (allergic to the sulfates???) and I don't drink before running my long arm .....BUT..... change the wine to Starbucks and add a bit more chocolate and I'm right there with you!!! This was an especially long week as we had our Open House at school too.

sure helps me alot and I am retired...so is my husband, he is always parked in front of the tv, so the only time I get to use the vacuum cleaner in there is on Thursday nights when he goes to the Elk's Bingo night...we are both members, and he goes to sell the raffle tickets...by Fri. after I've gotten groceries for my Mom, sister, and myself, I am beat...so instead of "whining" I just "WINE"...lol...Naomi

HAHAHAHA! Just 'wine'...that cracked me up! THANKS!

OMQ, I'm with you - allergic to sulfites and love chocolate. Otherwise, a good red wine would be nice, no make that Spanish Sauterne, no ??

How about a bowl of popcorn and a nice cold beer with a Promise chocolate for a chaser. And a movie.

That is how I relaxed tonight. Now I am ready for a nice weekend at home.

redkimba 09-16-2011 05:13 PM

make my drink a Woodchuck Hard Cider/Sprite spritzer instead of wine & I'm there with you, but with no hubbie...

Oh, yes...that sounds great to me! Actually, I had a pretty good day in my kdg classroom today and then stopped to visit with my brother for a few minutes after school. My great day came to a screeching halt a couple hours ago when DH came in to tell me our mower engine blew! Darn. We had already planned to get a new mower in the spring...we have a 6 acre yard that gets mowed weekly so we have a very large mower. Had I not already imbibed...that tidbit of news would have driven me to it! LOL Hope you are enjoying your evening!

katyquilter 09-16-2011 05:43 PM

Sounds like my evening!! Wonderful...

redquilter 09-16-2011 05:44 PM

Sounds like heaven to me. I like, when hubby is out of town, to have a big bowl of popcorn and a glass of red wine for dinner. Sure relaxes me!

Sounds like a winner to me, but I don't drink but maybe 2 daquaries a year. LOL

Pam B 09-16-2011 06:19 PM

Speaking of wine...I just have to share....last week the grandmother of one of my kdg kids sent me a note, among other things she told me in the note was this quote, "She likes wine, too." LOL It gave my para and I a great chuckle for the day. I sincerely am hoping she meant She LIKES to whine! I would hope a 5 year old does not like wine to drink.
