Here was mine yesterday so I can't complain about weather by any means. This one has multiplied over the years but none of the offspring bloom.....maybe they aren't old enough? Or there is too much competition from the holly and the weeds....

She's a pretty one and we'll have more from the look of the buds

Thanks JoanneS, it was a gift from a friend when DH and I bought the house many years ago. The second pic is true color but a little light, first pic came out a little more to the orange side of red than is true. I didn't note the variety when I planted it and after this many years it would be very difficult to track down what it was called when friend bought it. I was just tickled to see it bloomed as it has gone without a bloom many times in years past.

We had our 44% today - sunny and high sixties!!! Had snow, rain, clouds and cool just a couple of days ago. Hopefully, by the time hubby and I get back from a quick trip to Nevada this week, the other 56% of spring will be downloaded!!
