Furniture cover-darn!

1 Attachment(s)
when we got our new couch and chair, it came covered in this thin fabric. I saved it for foundation piecing but it must have more plastic then natural fibers. I toched it with the iron and it melts, see that little hole? I am now trying to think of other uses for it rather then throw it out. Maybe to drape over a picnic table to keep bugs off? Maybe to put over my plants for frost protection? Ideas please...

I think your plant idea will work since you are much farther north than I.

How about using it to cover fruit bearing trees???

I agree with the others to cover your plants.

Would it work for a foundation for a spider web quilt?

I used something similar for a drop cloth when I needed to stain some boards.

Our bedroom furniture came wrapped in that stuff too. I gave it back to the delivery guy to dispose of however he wanted.

On bathroom floor if you dye your hair. Lining to keep trunk of car clean.

I need some of that to wrap my fig tree for the winter. Even though I live in Virginia, the winter is too cold for figs if they are not wrapped. It works good,,,,just hard to find.

Same or similar came on 2 recliners-I use it for 'cut away' stabilizer for my embroidery machine. You can iron/press items from right side--just not directly on this. It is also same as (tho diff color) grass guard that you would spread under/around plants and then mulch. Don't throw it away..we embroiderers even go to Home Depot & Lowes to pay for this stuff.
