fusible fleese order

I ordered 10 yards of fusible fleese online and received it in the mail today. I use this for my placemats.
I had some left from a years or so ago. Compared to the new stuff which is pellon it is on half as thick. I could not believe what I saw. it was 50 percent off but still $4.49 a yd. Products are going down hill fast.

So sorry that this has happened. I'm seeing all the time that quality is going down when it comes to everything...not just in the quilting world.

Same thing happened to me--could not believe the difference in product--no choice but to double up usage of second shipment in order to use it. Will never order any Pellon product online again.

I just did a quick search for you. Pelion has two weights of fusible fleece: heavyweight (973) and lightweight (987) according to what I could find on the internet. Maybe you ordered the lightweight by accident.

Walmart (online) is advertising the heavyweight for thirty dollars plus change for a ten yard bolt (not sure about shipping). Hope this helps you.

I did not know there was two weights I think i ordered 987. I will try to use is for my placemats. I hope it will be Ok. Thanks for the info from lotstodo.

I actually prefer the thinner weight - hope it works for you.

I use Bosall, and it's been great for placemats. It's thin, but with the front and back layer of fabric, it's enough. I like it especially because glasses are stable when placed on the mat and no spillage as happens sometimes with the thicker mats.

Ok , I thought maybe the thinner would bee ok so I'll be using it up.

Glad I could help out. There are so many different products out there.
