and you answer the door only to find Shirley, the local Hospice volunteer. She tells you, "Sorry to come so late, but I'm here to pick up the quilt you promised us for the fundraiser auction." YIKES!!! You had promised her 2 months ago you'd make a quilt and you completely forgot!! You MUST give her a finished quilt that you've made. Pick one right now! Which one will you give her?
The one I buy on e-bay right now:)
The ugly one my ex-SIL gave me.... :)
The one I believe will get them the most dollars for their fundraiser.
I guess I would have to close my eyes and grab one. I don't think I could just make a choice. Know what I mean???
The one my SIL gave me that she bought "somewhere".
I'll let her pick
Oh no.....not one of my babies. OK, you can have one of the first ones I made. The star quilt on my DD bed.

Love it. |
Oh, my! What did you do?
I need to make a raffle quilt for May. Thanks for reminding me. I better get busy. |
People have FINISHED quilts hanging around? Sheesh ... I've yet to finish for me yet.
oh just pick one any one you want
I only have One quilt in my house that I've made (all the rest given away) - the quilt I made for my fil and then inherited after he died. I would have to give her the store-bought one on my bed. lol... Either that, or I grab handfuls of fabric and a pattern and tie it up with a bow - "can you auction off this Kit?"

The blue and red one that ran like a coward from the indigo fabric my MIL gave me. It is a nice quilt and the only one Iwould have to give.
I'd have to say 'sorry' and give a cash donation. Any quilt at my house that has managed to get completed has been given away. Only ones left are unquilted tops, and top in various stages of completion. Or, how about a "gift certificate' and the winner gets a quilt made for them?

The one on my bed. It was a stash quilt, and there is always more where that came from!
The one my 5yo pieced...? lol No, she'd be sad. I guess the one on my couch - simple 4 patch. That would make ME sad, since it was my first, but...the only others in my house are my kids'.

"I'm sorry, but I think you have the wrong house." (Gulp!)
Jan in VA |
The one that is covered in the least pet hair....probably the denim fray-edge draped over the end of our bed.

Jan in VA .....I would have to say I only have 2...take them both...I can always replace them |
Hmmm, probably a small drunkard's path wall hanging but I would confess that I forgot and ask if there was anyway I could have a few more days. If so, I would whip out a 10 minute block quilt, tie it and call it done!
to keep my own promise to a charity? and i forgot, too boot?
i would give them the best one in my possession that hadn't already been used. i would also give them my second-most favorite. |
Probably the only Batik quilt I've made - Jacob's ladder pattern....then I'd have to make another one :)
I don't have a finished one to give her.
It sure won't be my 'Texas' quilt.
It would be a scrappy nine-patch. Never used. |
For me, I'd hand over one of my Halloweenie quilts. Hopefully it's October? I think my Frankenstein Quilt.
