Susie- they came out in the 60's. originally a black rubber ball. Then they made them in colors. the black bounced the highest. they would bounce higher than any other balls around. and they came in all sizes.They also boomeranged off of things and still bounce all over. It was a super toy for kids back then.

Yes, they still sell superballs, including the black ones. They have all different kinds - - - some have blinking lights on the inside. Fun stuff!
