Game Recommendation Wanted

For years and years I had a Pogo subscription, then they basically went all in on cell phone instead of desk top type games. I just can't see cell phone games well enough to enjoy playing them but I miss some of my favorites. I do have a Samsung Galaxy (android) tablet that is a good fit for my eyes and hands and gives me more options.

I used to love on-line Boggle (through Pogo) and haven't found a good substitute. I got a lot of enjoyment from seeing the big words other people found that I didn't even see.

I don't mind paying a nominal one time fee (like $10) for a good solitaire or mahjong or other game. When my last tablet died I had a wonderful solitaire but alas, it is no longer sold or supported under the name it was and I haven't found a good substitute yet.

Lately (and I know I've come late to the party) I've started playing Wordle at https://wordlewebsite.com/

Any good suggestions? Mostly wanting word games, on-line or off, desktop or tablet -- am open! Nothing against the games here at all, but sometimes I want to spend hours binging...

I don't have any good word game recommendations. Have you tried any of the match 3 games? I like Candy Crush Soda, Toy Blast, Toon Blast and Diamond Diaries (I've been playing these for years). These are all available through Google Play and I have no issues running them other than the occasional crash on my 11 year old Nexus 7 tablet. I also like a game called Hay Day. It is a farming game like the one that Facebook had. I can't recall the name because I don't use Facebook and never played it.

How about Canuckle?

I enjoy Crazy Quilt Solitaire. Kind of appropriate for all of us. I haven't tried any of the other games on the site tho.

And there's also Wordle Unlimited. Several versions, I know, but I use this one.

Thanks QuiltE! I hadn't seen the Canuckle site before. Cute!

I don't play many word games on my phone these days but some apps I tend to go back to are:

Puzzle Page (a variety of daily puzzles)
Red Herring (a category game)
Bonza/Bonza Planet (a weird kind of crossword thing)
7 Little Words (a crossword definition game)
4 Pics 1 Word (what it sounds like)

I don't pay to play these and so some are limited to one or two daily games, but I find they fill the time nicely when I don't have access to a computer :-)

I love word games, too, and play Wordle every day. I get the daily NY Times newsletter (free) and also do their mini-crossword and Connections, which involves putting groups of four words that are associated together.

Loved the Canadian site! I'm more of a Sudoku player. I like backgammon, but haven't found a great online game. Did anyone ever play The Sims? My niece and I enjoyed hours of fun finding out what happened if...

I like the challenge of Text Twist https://www.solitaireparadise.com/ga...t-twist-2.html, but Solitaire Paradise has a wide variety of games that I enjoy

GingerK - thats for the recommend. That solitaire is challenging!

Thanks for the link, SueZQ -- great game for me. I'll have to investigate the site a bit more but first look was great.

Since I started this thread I've found a few games I like from USA Today Games --
