My friend and I are on the "shower committee" at church, neither one of like games at showers and over the years it seems to be how the majority feels if you must play games keep it short and sweet. That's MHO and I'm stickin' to it.

Write the letters A - Z down the side of a piece of paper. Think up a word for each letter that goes with the bride and grooms wedding day. A-aisle, B-bride, C-cake, D-dad, E-earrings, etc. The guest need to match the bride.

Went to a guy and gals baby shower, one of the best ive been to.One of the games was to bob for baby nipples blind folded. There was a tub of water with baby bottle nipples in it floating around and the men had to get blind folded and get the nipples. It was so funny. My hubby won by picking up 13 nipples. Another on was getting real sm baby diapers and putting different kind of chocolate bars in them that had melted. You had to open each one and smell it to guess which candy bar it was.It was sooo grose to look at but sure was funny to see the group putting their noses on the middle of the groose looking diapers.

Just a few (!) years ago at my bridal shower a game was to see who could hold the most wooden clothes pins in one hand.

Several ideas already given that we usually do around here too. I like the idea of asking the guests beforehand to bring a non-perishable food item that starts with the beginning of their name. These are all collected in a laundry basket (who can't always use those?) and given to the bride-to-be. The item is announced when you go around introducing yourself at the beginning of the party. Sally brings soup, Patty brings a box of pasta, etc.
We also ask the guests to bring a recipe card with their favorite recipe, and they collected and put in a gift of a recipe card box.
Clothespin goes on the pants legs or sleeve of each guest. When a person is caught crossing their legs, that person who catches them takes the clothespins. Whoever has most wins.
