I have enjoyed sewing garments for many years. The gown is my oldest grandaughter's prom gown I made last year. I bought the fabric in NYC three years before and didn't know if I had enough fabric for the gown I chose to make. I was nervous that I might goof up the embroidery design with no spare fabric. But I didn't have any problems and she was very please with it.

Wow, you did a great job. I would be afraid to attempt embroidery on such a slippery fabric. Very nicely done.

Beautiful - and THANK YOU for not allowing the top to be so low that it exposes things! It is sooo frustrating to see young girls showing their "altogethers" in public!

dglvr 04-07-2010 06:23 AM

Beautiful sewing and the embroidery is just the right accent. Pretty grand daughter too. I love the modest cut of the top, shows she is a lady.

Lovely, lovely!!! The girl and the gown!! My oldest grandaughter is a senior this year, and she is making her own prom dress. Not as elegant as the one you made, but to her taste, which is some more "avant garde". Little bubble skirt with a bustier top, in very bright print fabric. I was encouraging, although I wasn't wild about the pattern.

yourstrulyquilts 04-07-2010 03:59 PM

WOW!! Beautiful! Both of them.

AnnaK 04-07-2010 08:46 PM

zz-pd 04-08-2010 01:38 AM

she is beautiful and so is the dress. Penny
