Gave a small Workshop

My friends decided to organize a day so I could show them how to FM trees! We rented a room in a local quilt shop and spend a fab day, chatting and sewing. I was so mean I made them do exercises first, and as most were retired teachers.. I graded their work! LOL They went home with great reference material and were assigned homework. Make a branch on which to place the chickadee I sewed for each of them. When I have some finished work back from these lovely ladies I'll post a few more pics!

If I were in or near Guelph, ON, you can bet I would sign up for one of your classes! Looks like you got those ladies creating some great stuff.

Great idea for a workshop. Years ago down in Orlando, a couple of us gals would meet once a month for embroidery classes at the local Library. They have conference rooms with tables and chairs and plenty of outlets for our machines all arranged in a square so the person giving the class could stand/sit in the middle and talk with them. We could reserve the room for free so might look into options for the next time to save money. The room was large enough for 10-15 sewers.

I can see that you have turned the tables and have them mortally serious about this sewing thing and what their final mark might be.

I couldn't believe it! They barely came up for air...or lunch! LOL

Good Idea! Why not make some you-tube videos?

I wish I could have had a chance to learn thread painting from you. They are very lucky ladies.

I know which shop you were at!! Would love to have been there too!

I intended to go to Guelph last month but I do live over 3 hours from there. I too would enjoy that class but it was good to see that you used a hoop. Maybe it's another thing of "PRACTISE" to. Nice of you to do this class .
