Gift tags

I saw this tutorial on YouTube on how to make the stars out of a pentagram. I used a 6 inch square and folded it into a pentagram from another YouTube video. I used a dark green for the back and Christmas fabric for the front. I was thinking...if I used muslin for the inner side...I could use my Frixion pen to write on a name and erase it with the iron to use next year again! They can also be used for a Christmas ornament.

Cute. And, good idea about being able to re-use them.

Could you please give us the links to the youtubes?
Thank you! Nice ornament and gift tag. I can see making them for on top of gifts. Though I could never ask for them back! People are always thrilled to receive these personal touches instead of a store bought bow! |
A tutorial can be found at www.threadbarecreations.blogspot.ca fabric star hangers. It is from Dec. 2017 but if you Google the site it should come up.

Thanks for posting the direct link QuiltE as I can never seem to get it to work. I am going into gift tag mass production and can finally use up these hangers that have been in my craft room for ages. When getting ready to iron in the final folds, I use my Hera marker to score a line so they fold easily.

This sounds like a great idea to use up left over charm squares. Do you think using a 5" square would be too small?
Why couldn't you sew all around the pentagon and then put a small slit in the inner pentagon to turn the piece. I would place the slit somewhere near the "fold" line so it would be covered up by the triangle fold. |
Adorable!!! I want to make some for ornaments. Thanks!
