I very rarely write something that I don't mention how I volunteeer at our local food bank, Ozarks Food Harvest, 2-3 times a week. And most people who have been to my fabric sales know that it has been to buy batting for Project Linus, I am a chapter coordinator for my area. Well, last Thursday, got a letter in the mail from the Council of Churches of the Ozarks. The letter stated that Ozarks Food Harvest had nominated me for the Gift of Time Award 2011. It is an honor to be nominated. There is a luncheon at noon June 16, 2011 to introduce all the nominees and then 10 winners will be selected from the nominees. I had no idea this was coming and am so humbled and honored to even be nominated. I wanted to share my news with everyone.

Congratulations!!! That is an honor. You'll never be paid enough for this, just the quiet satisfaction knowing that you have made a difference to your town.
Keep up the good work. Just goes to show that we have the bestest people on this site!!!! |
:-) Congratulations on your nomination! :-) And on your "good works".
Some of us are much happier doing for others than doing for ourselves. (I sew more for a chrity than for me, because I can finish small items faster and finishing feels good!) |
How nice to get the appreciation you soooo deserve :-)
Congrats & I hope you win! |
Congratulations! It's nice to have your efforts noticed and appreciated! And thank you for all you do!
