Girl Scout Cookies

So, here I am.....first official day of girl scout cookie sales in central Texas. For the next six weeks.....most of my spare time will be consumed by this task. I truly miss quilting time, but it is so much fun seeing my daughter blossoming thru this process!!!

Oh, love those thin mints!

OH NO!

I always get hit to buy about 20 boxes. Being a teacher- you can't play favorites.

How expensive are they this year? Please pm me the answer.

I love the Thin Mints and also the ones with coconut on them...forget their name. I'm still "wearing" a few I'm sure.

My daughter was a scout for 11 years & I was the cookie mom for the troop. Can't really say that I miss that job, but I have many memories of cookies stacked up in the house! I still can't pass up a Girl Scout selling cookies or nuts.

Here in central texas, they are Carmel Delights. Other areas, they are Samoas...depends on region and baker.

This is year 6 for us. Fun for first few weeks, but exhausting as the season winds down.

I've already ordered mine. I'm a teacher and made a "rule" many years ago to not buy things from kids at school. It's neverending otherwise. So if one comes to the house I'll buy from the first one. Tuesday one of my piano students came fresh from her scout meeting and I was her first customer. Done! (I'm the school music teacher and have 600 students! My school guitar class has 97. I teach piano to 23. Simply got to draw a line so ... there you are.) Thin mints, those chocolate covered peanut butter ones ... peanut butter sandwich ones ... yummy!
