Girl on the train

Finally was able to get the movie from redbox......watched last nite....a few questions...if Rachael had not worked for over a year, where was she getting money to ride a train everyday among other things, like liquor.......police investigation seemed so lame....Meagan having worked as nanny for neighbor was never really pursued.....
the movie was a bit choppy at first, but then flowed better. Movies are just not what they used to be...jmho

Haven't seen the movie, but I really liked the book.

I read the book, too. Really don't remember everything about the plot, just that it wasn't what it seemed at first. I read that one and Gone Girl around the same time.

Haven't seen the movie. In the book, I recall her saying that she was coming to the end of her savings at one point, so I guess that's where she was getting the money from.

Not sure I'll watch the movie. I found the book rather depressing and now I know who did it, although I suspected him the whole time.

I tried to read the book but quit at about page 20. I am on the list at my library for the movie and am interested to see if I make it to the end.

I may have to read the book too. I am not a really big fan of Emily Blunt.

Divorce settlement, I believe, since he bought her out of their house. The book does explain that. Her Mom is also well off and she asks her for money later on in the book. She lives with a friend who forgives her for missing her rent as things deteriorate. I loved the book, read it very quickly. Haven't seen the movie.

Read the book, while I liked it not a favorite. Lots of her family, friends enabled her drinking by giving her $$ or free rent, etc.

I also read Gone Girl about the same time and much preferred it. If you like this type of book, check out Darling Jim, set in Ireland and lots of suspense.
