Does anyone have any tips for gluing a jigsaw puzzle? I am not a jigsaw person but my in laws found and put together the cutest quilt puzzle for me. I would like to frame it.

You can buy puzzle glue and then glue it to cardboard. That is how I have always seen it done.

I have never done it but I would think decopage glue would work great, fill in the cracks, but still leave some texture.

You can modge poge it too. do one side, let dry, do the other. You can do more than one coat.

I have used the puzzle glue it is called puzzle pro. Also I have heard of others that took school glue as it dries clear. Just make sure you get it in all the cracks.Let dry , turn over and do it from the back side also :thumbup:

I would glue it from the back first, and then maybe have it framed, or do it yourself behind glass. No reason to slather the front with anything.

Thats what I used for the Jigsaw puzzle my daughter gave me for Christmas. Got it a Target for like $5 or so. It did a real nice job and even seeped through to the cardboard I had on its backside. After it dried real good I had my wife take it to the Framer and they matted and framed it for me and I have it in my Studio now.

Of course it was a quilting themed puzzle!!!

Timely question... when i was on vacation, I visited a new quilt shop and found the most adorable puzzle with cats & ducks. I picked up some Hodge Podge at the local craft store. The clerk warned me to only use it on non-humid days or it would dry tacky and stay that way forever.

Huge thank-you to all that replied. I have the modge podge and was hoping it dried clear. I have to doctor the 2 spaces that have missing puzzle pieces...yep brand new puzzle in a sealed box, just one of the reasons I don't do puzzles but this one is so cute and i had volunteers to actually do the puzzle....I will post a pic if anyone wants to see it.
