If you're going to St. Thomas, try to take a boat ride over to St. John as well. The island of St. John is beautiful, and has amazing snorkeling! It is completely different than St. Thomas and I have a particular fondness for it since I got married on St. John.

THanks for all your input. WE are going Celebrity Solstice.
2 formal dinners. I know we will have fun. Just thinking how to pack all this stuff in one checked baggage. We signed up for zip line in St. martan and I don't think I'll mention to my husband about the nude beach in St. Thomas, might not get him back on the ship. I will let you know how everything goes.
Should I even bother taking any hand work( Applique). I don't think I'll have much time.

The nude beach is on St. Maartin on the french part of the island. So you should be ok if you are already going on a zip line excursion, probably won't have time for Orient Bay. We never made it there either.

I actually took some handwork with me and if your cruise is same as mine with 3 days out to sea you may like having it with you. I know I did when I was sitting on a deck chair it was really nice to have the handwork (I definitely liked it better then reading which is what I usually do when decking it on the out to sea days) and it was a nice conversation starter with people wondering what I was making. We also had one day at sea that wasn't so nice, in and out of rain most of the day so it was nice to have it to work on in protected areas of the ship out of the rain.

But where I found it my sanity save was at the airport waiting for our flight home. Ft. Lauderdale airport is crazy on cruise days (Saturdays) and they have almost no seating so you camp out on the floor, at least in terminal 2 where we were, terminal 1 may be better. Anyway we were stuck in the airport for almost 6 hours waiting for our flight. The ship wanted us off by 9:00AM and our flight wasn't until 3 and they wouldn't let us check our luggage until 1. So it was really nice to have it. But, there is loads to do on the ship with the casinos and activities and such so don't stress about bringing the handwork unless you really really want to, as I did. I go into withdrawels when I can't sew and I found I was much less homesick this particular trip.
