The Good Wife

Any one shocked that Will died in The Good Wife? I was soooo surprised as he really made the show.

I don't even watch The Good Wife but caught the ending. I was even surprised because the few times I have caught portions of the show, he was always a large part of the show.

He is supposed to be on Letterman tonight and explain why. I agree, he was a big part of the show. I saw the previews and Michael J. Fox is taking his place. Not sure about that one, we will see.

I like MJF BUT don't see the chemistry with The Good Wife like Will had. Hope they can keep it interesting. It was my favorite show.

DH told me about this. I haven't watched it yet but am looking forward to the shocking show.

romanojg 03-25-2014 05:37 AM

I haven't had time to watch it yet, so much for a surprise ending for me. There are so many great shows on at the same time on Sunday night, Once upon a time, Resurection, Revenge and on another channel is Believe at the same time as Resurection. I'm having to go online to catch up. Hadn't had time to catch up on channel 3 yet. Michael has been on the show multiple times before and done quite well. But there won't be that attraction to him as their was Will, who ended up turning out of revenge on the Good Wife. I guess I'll have to catch up on that channel this weekend.

I was sooo stunned. I could not believe they would do this to a central character. I loved Will Gardner's character, and the complicated relationship he had with Alecia. He will be missed. I understand his reasons for leaving.. but this was a shocker.

Geri B 03-25-2014 10:45 AM

Since I don't watch letterman and just watched it on demand....two days after airing...what was the reason for writing Will out of the story.......more $$$$$$........ Sad, but interesting turn of events......not thrilled with MJF replacement.....

athomenow 03-25-2014 11:40 AM

We could not believe it either and I even got on the internet to see if it was true! He was the one who wanted to leave so it wasn't about money. I don't know what he's going to do now.

jazzermin 03-25-2014 03:40 PM

I sure was shocked! Usually they let them go into a coma or some other issue so they can return to the show!

Krystyna 03-26-2014 03:20 AM

We were shocked, too. My husband was glad he was gone and wouldn't be messing with Alicia. I don't really care for the MJF character and don't think he adds very much to the show.

Amythyst02 03-26-2014 03:33 AM

I am still stunned that they let Will die? They have lost their marbles!!! I never in a moment saw that coming, and neither did DH who is always good at guessing things lilke that. I did not see Letterman so I don't know why he left I just know he will be missed by alot of folks. As for MJF well his own show did not work out so well, so I guess he has to come back and see if he can do anything here. I was not impressed with him on the Good Wife before, so I am pretty sure I won't be impressed with him now. And hes no Will!!!

sparkys_mom 03-26-2014 04:44 AM

I was stunned. I saw on the internet that there was a shocker so carefully avoided the article until I watched the show. There was, however, a very good explanation on line. Here it is:http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...icle-1.1732007

This is one of my very favorite shows and I am confident that it will continue to be absorbing. And I don't care for MJF but I don't think he's intended to be a new love interest. :)

icul8rg8r 03-26-2014 05:07 AM

Maybe he will be there haunting her or messing with her head or constantly in her dreams .... so don't count him out!

kdid82 03-26-2014 05:20 AM

according to a video on FB, the producers said he asked last year to quit and they had to decide what would make the most personal growth for Alicia, since the show is basically about her

quilter68 03-26-2014 05:39 AM

I am HORRIBLY schoked! I can't even spell. I don't like Alicias' husband.

Suz 03-26-2014 06:32 AM

In retrospect, I was glad to see Will and Alicia have another of their "moments" before the climax of Will. I really like this show and will continue watching but it won't be the same. I had really hoped the two would get together again. It was obvious that they cared for each other and Will seemed rattled by her in some of the flashbacks to memory.

Shouldl we all be dressed in black for the next episode when we see Alicia's response to Will's death? It will be interesting.

callen 03-26-2014 07:17 AM

I guess I am the only one who was becoming very bored with The Good Wife. It was almost the same story line every week. Alicia & Carey fighting against Will & Diane over clients etc. over & over. Was a shocker for sure but it sure perked things up. Am not sure about MJF either as a replacement. Have been watching the new show called CRISIS & it airs at the same time as Good Wife & boy, is it exciting & very exciting plot lines.

ladydukes 03-26-2014 07:48 AM

We were shocked, stunned and disappointed that Will died. He was a larger-than-life part of the show!

maryellen2u 03-26-2014 09:38 AM

I was so stunned! I agree with the preceding remarks. Who is going to be the love interest? He and Alisha had such good chemistry. I am glad it was his choice and not some push-pull thing. I love MJF but he is no Will Gardner!

Suz 03-26-2014 02:01 PM

Do any of you believe that MJF will be the love interest? I cannot see it. And when will Alicia find out that Calinda is the one why slept w/her husband, the governor. Or did I miss her learning?

Retired Fire Chief 03-27-2014 02:41 AM

I still can't believe that they killed off Will. And even though Will and Alicia were constantly at each others throats, lately that was softening and I wasn't bored by the banter. A friend asked if he was really dead or is it just a ploy to get him off the hook for testifying against Alicia's husband? I don't think there is a chance of that, he was too greedy when it came to his practice and wouldn't abandon it. As far as a love interest for Alicia, I don't understand her relationship with her husband so whatever she does will be a surprise. And I didn't know that Kalinda slept with Alicia's husband! Thanks for clueing me in!!

BETTY62 03-28-2014 06:21 PM

I was shocked. The show will never be the same. I like MJF in some things but he will never fill the void that will be let by Will's departure. I will continue to watch it and see how it goes but it but I think the ratings will drop for the show.

lfstamper 03-30-2014 06:36 PM

So far the first show after wasn't very interesting. Sure hope it picks up!

Suz 04-28-2014 11:44 AM

What was that last evening? The show wasn't even interesting. It was all Alicia and Mr. Swenney. Very little Cary, Calinda, the children, the husband. I (we) were very disappointed with the show. Anyone agree?
