Google images

I just searched google images for majestic mountain quilts. My results included many majestic mountain, but also included many more all kinds of quilts. Is there a way to limit your search to the specific you are looking for and not bringing up all those extras?

Not that I know of unless you are more specific with the inquiry such as an author's name. They do like to throw as much stuff at you as possible. But to me, I like looking at all the talent quilts being made. Just like candy with no calories.

You have to specify quilts or type it with " ".

I hate that too, esp hate looking at or reading something and an advertisement or a survey thingy blocks it, makes me so mad, they ain't paying for my internet!

The images are usually tagged by the person who posts them. They can use whatever name they wanted. Say if I'm making a 1000 Pyramids quilt, but I decide to rename it, or didn't know the correct name, and I post somewhere and say, "here is my Majestic Mountains Quilt," it will show up in the next person's search for Majestic Mountains.

essentially --no. most people put in the search bar the item/name whatever they are looking for. search engines are crawlers, spiders is another term. they are robots that are programmed to look for all words used in search request. if you put in "majestic mountain quilts" it will scan the net and post pics of every majestic mountain quilt, then quilt, then majestic, then majestic quilt, you may even get a few mountain pics too ...see where this is leading? if you want to eliminate all the other possible matches then do a "advanced search". on many search engine home pages there is a "advanced search" option. somewhere near the main search bar window. open that ..click options like "key words only" ..there'll be several choices. set it so that you are telling the bot that you only want to see "majestic mountain quilts" or whatever. this narrows the field of search for the bot. depending on the quality of the search engine, you should get little or no other finds except what you are looking for.
