Grandma's bragging point...
Ok, today my sweet daughter was driving home from work with my 2 DGKs. They both have December birthdays. She can still get away with a combined party for both of them. The party is on Saturday and it looks like rain is in the forecast. As she was mentioning it to my GS, she explained they might have to do a project indoors and what would he like to do?
He said, "Sew stars on Grandma's sewing machine with Grandma." I kid you not! Sad to say he then remembered I wouldn't be there. But, that is what he wanted to do and also have me show his friends how to sew. If I didn't have a procedure scheduled for Friday, I would have hopped in the car and headed to their city. Bless his little 8 year old heart. I do have a future quilter in the family.:):) |
how cute, and smart. he wants to learn now

Always good to know there are future quilters coming along.

That's so sweet. When are you traveling there next? If they don't live that far away, maybe between or for the holidays!

Isn't that sweet? Best memories for sure.

Another Ricky Tims in the making!!

Wow! He is interested in something new and wants to share it with his friends! My DD was about 10 when she had a friend stay all night. The girls used my machine and made hair scrunchies. The friend's mom is a hair dresser. The little girl went home so proud of what she made and she wore them to school often after that. It gives you a good feeling to pass on a skill that you enjoy to the next generation.

Aww... what a sweet little guy! Great job grandma to instill the love of time with you sewing!! :)
