Sausage sales bring out the wurst in people.

Answering moan: Many years ago a large marine mammal swam up the Thames to as far as London. It caused considerable consternation and damage until it was subdued by a team of intrepid Anglicans. The animal was butchered and made into sausage.

Charles Dickens was heard to remark, "It was the beast of Thames, it was the wurst of Thames." But he was misquoted.
