I live in a very tiny little town and I know that the elderly or infirmed can have groceries delivered, food from the restaurant, etc. all done with just a phone call. My BIL has retired from his plumbing, heating and air conditioning business but the little old ladies in town still call him every fall and he goes and cleans their furnaces, changes the filters and starts them up. The ladies will call him a couple days later and have him come pick up a pie, plate of cookies, or a loaf of homemade bread because he has never (even when he was in business) sent any of them a bill.
Warms my heart to hear of such wonderful people. I know there are lots more good people than bad, just like hearing about them. |
So far I don't need grogeries delivered, couldn't get it out here, I would have to depend on DD or DSIL.
Hubby is still active and works everyday and does maintence here. Going grocery shopping is about the only place I go since I retired in June, good to stay home and make quilts. |
Is that ad right ? $58 for the rabbit? My Dad raised rabbits and butchered them , we had them for every holiday meal. My Mom said it was chicken, couldn't figure out why the chicken had 4 legs.
