Boo hoo! Yesterday I went to get ink for my printer and guess what? The stores here aren't carrying what I need anymore. Also I think it's time to get a new one anyway because it is very S L O W and starting to leak ink.

I'm hooking up another one we have that has never been used today.

After it dies, I'm going with a wireless one.

I would love to have a wireless one, but the one I have right now was given to me brand new by my son in law. He got it when he bought a camera and didn't want it. Has fax(I don't use it), scanner and printer. It's an Epson and it's great. I had an HP and was ALWAYS trying to find ink here on island. Seemed EVERYWHERE I went, they were out. Have had no problem with finding ink for the Epson and I think the ink lasts longer too!

Glad you had a back up!!! Mine is older, I have a newer one but do not like it as well as my dinosaur, lol. Wireless would be awesome though!!!!

My black ink ran out yesterday and I need to buy another cartridge. I used to buy doubles, but then when the printer breaks, the new printers take different cartridges, and I am stuck with opened boxes! I have been able to find friends who can use then, but it becomes another task I don't have time for! I want to SEW! :?

My son has been pushing us to get one for a while, but we have a 3-in-1 that works just fine.

We get our ink refilled at Walgreens.

We took my Mother shopping, yesterday
for new ink for her printer. She is having
the same trouble. They aren't carrying
her ink any more, either!! :( It's such a
shame to have to buy a new printer, just

I just found out about Walgreens but they don't refil mine :( They do refil my other lexmark that I just hooked up today tho :D

They mostly refil HP ink $10 for black and $15 for color! You can't beat that.

So....when I get a wireless one it will most likely be an HP printer.

Good thing you had another one. Gosh, I just noticed ours isn't even hooked up yet from when we moved in Feb :roll:

My printer 4 years ago, the belt shredded....so I tryed to get a new printer...well of course my comupter was so old I had to get a new computer too....the new printer would not hook up to my computer....so I had to get a new cord and then the computer didn't have enough get up and go to run the printer....reason for the new computer....but I must say I sure got my use out of the printer and computer....my new printer is a HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-one....It is wonderful!!

My computer at work just died! So I had to go out and buy another one. I work at my church doing the collection and bulletin! Now I have to reset everything and load up my programs, THEN do my work for today. They are only selling laptops now, so I got the one I am familiar with. Wish me luck! :?

When I get my next printer, be it HP, Epson or Canon, it'll be one with separate cartridges for each color. That way I don't have to buy a new cartridge, every time I run out of just one of the colors.

That really is a shame. I wonder if you could go to the web site of the manufacturer and try to order more. Not everyone can just go out and buy a printer!

I'm just sitting here giggling because they don't make my contacts for my eyes any more--I guess, EVERYTHING gets old. :wink:

My HP printer does too. I'm so far from town that I keep an extra of each color on hand. Hate to run out and not have the refill. DS picked it out and it does a whole bunch of things that I never learned to do. It is a GREAT one for pictures though.

My hubby has some kind of ink re-fill kit that he uses. I just yell that I need ink and he re-fills and puts them in for me :D
