I just had to tell somebody and all you guys and gals out there have always been ver supportive in my quilting advice and endevors, I just had to tell you about my very first book getting published.
The official release date is November 7th. The namee of it is Little Willie Won't Go Home. I am so excited!!!! this is something I have wanted to do for a very long time. Ever since my daddy ran us all ragged with his dementia. I am going to try to post a picture of the front and back of the book for you all to see. Let me know what you think about it and if any of you have any suggestions on how to get "it out there" please tell me about it. My publisher will do a lot of things but it will also be up to me to do booksignings and the like in my area. So if anyone has any experience or ideas about it I'd sure like to hear them.

well you certainly need to put it in our classified section! I'd love to read it, I haven't had firsthand experience but I've known those who have and it's heartbreaking.

How totally amazing! Can you tell us a little about your book, what age group is it for, how long did you work on it, how did you look for an illustrator. You have done something many people just think about. Congrads!!!!!

I am so happy for you, so proud of you, and so sorry you've been through this horrible disease.
I love the look of the book and want a signed copy when it comes out.
I think it's a wonderful labor of love :)
PS. I'm bookmarking just in case you forget to let us know!! :D

Congratulations on your book. Funny what the mind can do when affected by dementia, and difficult for the people around them. Good luck! Have you thought about setting up a website for your book?

Oh that is wonderful, that is one thing on my list - I would love to publish a book - I love reading as much as quilting - please let us know where it will be available.

Sorry, I didn't realize this book came from a painful life experience. I hope I didn't come accross as crass and unfeeling.
