Since we started planning the move to NYC Emi has been asking about visiting one particular place. He is very patriotic and wanted to go there for July4th, but we couldn't make it. can you tell where he was? We left (just him and me) very early this morning and the lines were already long. Yesterday my shoes gave me blisters on the back of my heels, and the band aids were not holding well, so I was wearing duct tape under my socks, but I managed to hold well today. No more trips until we have an apartment.

In front of Lady Liberty. He was listening to an Audio Tour

I hope you had a wonderful day. The last time I went to the Statue of Liberty (18 years ago) Hubby, DS and I got to ride to the top in the service elevator before the statue opened, we took our pictures and walked down. We stopped to wave once we were at the base, the line was so long and the statue had not even opened yet, but we were soon down and on our way through Manhattan. The moral to this story is: It pays to have a relative that works there!

Cool! I went to check about tickets to the crown, but they are sold out until October. Not too expensive, just unavailable.
